The Purpose of the Man of the Year Award The purpose of the Man of the Year Award is to recognize a Christian man for selfless service to others. In a symbolic way, this award also emphasizes the need for all Christian men to provide their unique and valuable services to their fellow man. The Men of the Church recognizes that today there are many men actively engaged in carrying out the mission of the Church. Through the presentation of the Man of the Year Award to one individual, the Men of the Church hopes to highlight the need for all Christian men to respond to the call of God in the home, at work and at church throughout their lives.
